3Dash Plus is an online multiplayer modification of 3Dash developed by MG95. Originally released in November 2022, it expanded the base game by introducing online level sharing, player accounts, stars, level ratings, and community features while keeping the original gameplay largely unchanged.

The project became one of the most popular community modifications for 3Dash and remained active for around two years. Following the shutdown of its online servers, it later served as the foundation for 3Dash Ultra, which continued development while adding many new utility features such as Texture Packs, Custom Songs, and an in-game cheat menu.

Features

Unlike the original 3Dash, 3Dash Plus included online level sharing, user accounts, and other online features.

History

Initial Release

3Dash Plus was released in November 2022 as a successor to 3Dash, focusing on bringing online functionality to the game. It allowed players to upload, download, and like/dislike custom levels through dedicated servers, greatly expanding the game's replayability.

Development

Throughout 2023 and 2024, the game received several updates which improved server stability, fixed bugs, and expanded the online experience. Version 1.5 ultimately became the final release before development ceased.

Discontinuation

By late 2024 and early 2025, the game's player base had declined significantly. MG95 gave multiple warnings that the online services would eventually be discontinued before permanently shutting down the servers. After the shutdown, players could no longer upload or download levels through the official servers.

The level editor continued to function offline, however. Levels could still be shared manually by locating their exported .json files and distributing them through social media, Discord servers, or other file-sharing methods.

Legacy

After the shutdown of 3Dash Plus, community developer VistaCE created 3Dash Ultra, a continuation of the project's online experience. 3Dash Ultra reused many ideas from 3Dash Plus such as signing up for an account, likes and dislikes and online servers.
